This year's FOSP Gala Day, on Saturday 19 June, was the embodiment of community in action. Bathed in glorious sunshine and packed with happy people, Platform One was resplendent! The enlightened view of Glasgow City Council's Land Services that encourages community involvement, and indeed adoption of public spaces, has borne fruit through the efforts of FOSP. Think back to the hidden seating behind a wall of bushes that once was and look forward to the tarmac on the lower level blossoming as Platform One has done. Hyndland and the surrounding area will have an outdoor community resource that is fit-for-purpose. I for one can't wait to enjoy it.
